The Northwest A Cappella scene has been thriving over the past few years including the local collegiate a cappella ensembles and pop a cappella bands. We’ve got some great new groups as well as some of the staples of modern a cappella like The Coats and M-Pact. In order to help a cappella fans who live here or are just passing through the Great Northwest find an amazing vocal performance we’d like to get a Northwest A Cappella Calendar started. Check back soon for a link to the calendar… we may even throw in a Northwest A Cappella Forum. Please send in any upcoming a cappella shows you’d like listed on the calendar. We’re excited to be teaming up with Rezonate, an award-winning vocal band from Eugene to bring you a fun-filled vocal show here in Portland. The show will start at 7pm, August 1st at the Mt. Scott Community Center. Purchase Tickets Here!
We had an amazing time at the Harmony Sweeps this past weekend! Thanks to Gary Witley and MCE for all they do to make it a success, a huge thank you to The Coats for hosting and making it a night to remember and congratulations to Baudboys on their 1st place finish! All the groups were great as always. V-Chords and Vocalocity tied for 2nd place with Rezonate taking 3rd as well as best original arrangement.
Yeah, we know it’s rude to ask for compliments. But we need some good quotes for our Press Kit. So if you’ve been to a V-Chords show recently or even just heard our music here on the web, please let us know what you think by commenting below. We’ll post some of our most recent fan mail to get you started. If you know someone else who might appreciate our sound, please send them our way.
V-Chords will be performing at the Northwest Harmony Sweepstakes in Olympia, WA again this March and we need you there. We are hoping to be the first group to ever compete in the National Championships two years in a row! You can find a link to purchase tickets on our Schedule Page.

We had an awesome trip down to Klamath Falls (chained up most of the way there and back) this past weekend and performed with some entertaining and talented local groups. We posted a bunch of new photos on the Gallery Page — let us know what you think. If you were at either of the shows and have photos or video, please send them to us or put them on YouTube and post a link here.
V-Chords will be performing live at Jake’s Grill in Portland next Thursday the 20th at 7:15am. The show will be broadcast live on 104.1 The Fish and then again on Christmas Eve. We think we’ll be able to post a recording of the show on the website at some point. Hope you can tune in!
