Content Integrity
- Responsibility: Please ensure your submissions, including chords and lyrics, do not infringe on copyright laws or contain inappropriate content. We're committed to maintaining a respectful and creative space. We reserve the right to adjust or remove any submissions that conflict with our standards or receive valid complaints regarding copyright or appropriateness.
Keywords for Searchability
- Enhance Reach: Use keywords effectively to make your song more discoverable. Include variations in song or artist titles, different spelling patterns, etc. For example, if a song is known by multiple titles or has variations in the artist's name, mention these in the keywords.
Chord Submission Format
- Standard Format: Each chord submission should follow this pattern:
[Section Name] ------------------- Chords and lyrics for the section
- Unique Sections: Include each unique section only once, regardless of how many times it appears in the original song. Use the 'Play Order' option later to set the full structure of the song, including any repeated sections.
it's important to understand that the uniqueness of a section is determined by its chords and lyrics, not just the section name. For instance, if two sections like 'Intro' and 'Interlude' have identical content, they should not be listed as separate sections. Instead, you can name the section to reflect both, such as
[Intro/Interlude] - Section Naming: Ensure each section of your chords input has a designated name that accurately reflects its content, such as
[Bridge],[Verse 1],[Intro/ Inter], etc. - Example:
[Intro/Inter] ----------------------- | Am | - | C | - | | + | Am | C | - | [Verse 1] ----------------------- Am C Walking down the lane, G Em Under the moonlight. [Chorus] ----------------------- F C Singing our song, G Am Loud and strong. [Verse 2] ----------------------- Am C Echoes in the air, G Em Whispers of the night.
Although the song above include repeated sections of
[Intro/Inter]and[Chorus], these should only be included once in the chord text, as shown below.
Set Play Order
- Functionality: Next to the chords input field, you'll find the 'Play Order' field. This field will automatically populate with all the sections you have added in the chords input.
- Set Song Structure: You can duplicate sections and arrange them to set the full structure of the song.
- Example: The repeated sections
[Intro/Inter]and[Chorus]are listed only once in the chords text above. However, they are arranged in the play order below to accurately reflect the song's structure.
Setting Play Duration
- Functionality: The play duration should reflect the original song's playing time. This information is crucial for the auto-scrolling feature in the chords display.
- Example: If the original song is 3 minutes and 45 seconds long, set the play duration as `3:45`.
Submission Review Process
- Save Drafts: If you're not ready to submit your song for review, you can save it as a draft.
- Review and Approval: After submission, a reviewer will evaluate your content. If it doesn't follow our guidelines, it may be removed or unpublished.
- Rectification and Republishing: If your submission is unpublished, you can fix the issues and request a republish.
- Accessing Your Songs: All submitted and draft songs can be viewed in the 'Songs' tab of your profile.
