Content Integrity
- Responsibility: Please ensure your submissions, including chords and lyrics, do not infringe on copyright laws or contain inappropriate content. We're committed to maintaining a respectful and creative space. We reserve the right to adjust or remove any submissions that conflict with our standards or receive valid complaints regarding copyright or appropriateness.
Keywords for Searchability
- Enhance Reach: Use keywords effectively to make your song more discoverable. Include variations in song or artist titles, different spelling patterns, etc. For example, if a song is known by multiple titles or has variations in the artist's name, mention these in the keywords.
Chord Submission Format
- Standard Format: Each chord submission should follow this pattern:
[Section Name] ------------------- Chords and lyrics for the section
- Unique Sections: Every section with a body must have a unique name that clearly represents its content. Ensure that each section of your chord input has a distinct and descriptive name, such as
[Bridge]
,[Verse 1]
, or[Intro/Inter]
etc. This helps to maintain clarity and avoid duplication.it's important to understand that the uniqueness of a section is determined by its content, not just the section name. For instance, if two sections like 'Intro' and 'Interlude' have identical content, they should not be listed as separate sections. Instead, you can name the section to reflect both, such as
[Intro/Interlude]
- Repeated Sections: If a section is repeated multiple times in your song, simply use the same section heading without a body. The repeated sections will automatically be filled with the content of the original section when the song is submitted.
- Example:
Although the song below includes repeated sections of
[Intro/Inter]
and[Chorus]
, these sections should only include a body once. For repeated occurrences, only the section heading is required, as shown in the example below:[Intro/Inter] ----------------------- | Am | - | C | - | | + | Am | C | - | [Chorus] ----------------------- F C Singing our song, G Am Loud and strong. [Intro/Inter] ----------------------- [Verse 1] ----------------------- Am C Walking down the lane, G Em Under the moonlight. [Chorus] ----------------------- [Verse 2] ----------------------- Am C Echoes in the air, G Em Whispers of the night.
Setting Play Order
- Functionality: All the sections you add in the chord input will appear in the Play Order section beneath it. This includes repeated sections, as they are listed in your chords text. In the Play Order section, you can adjust the sequence of song sections using the Duplicate, Copy, and Move buttons to fine-tune the play order as needed. This ensures a flexible and customizable song structure.
- Example:
Setting Play Duration
- Functionality: When submitting a song, you must set the total play duration for the chords. This duration determines how long the auto-scroll feature will take to scroll from the top to the bottom of the song. Typically, this should match the song's actual length, but if you've omitted some sections in your chord text, adjust the duration accordingly to ensure proper synchronization for viewers using auto-scroll
Submission Review Process
- Save Drafts: If you're not ready to submit your song for review, you can save it as a draft.
- Review and Approval: After submission, a reviewer will evaluate your content. If it doesn't follow our guidelines, it may be removed or unpublished.
- Rectification and Republishing: If your submission is unpublished, you can fix the issues and request a republish.
- Accessing Your Songs: All submitted and draft songs can be viewed in the 'Songs' tab of your profile.
